Emergency trip to the vet

Well, we've had a little drama. Mum took me for a walk yesterday and I was playing up on her. She thought it was strange but just continued on, giving me the odd yank with the lead. That night Dad noticed I was limping and Mum found a cut on my paw and was devistated because she realised that was why I was mucking up on the walk that morning.

It was too late to go to the vet so we had to wait untill thismorning. All my Facebook friends wished me well and offered advice on what we should do in the mean time. Mum followed some of the suggestions, and even if they didnt make me feel any better I think it helped Mum.

At the vet I carried on a treat so Mum had to lay on me on the floor for the vet to take a look. There was nothing in the wound and the vet cleaned it up and put a bandage on it. I also got a shot of antibiotic but was a very good boy for the injection. There were plenty of treats after the ordeal and I even did some tricks for the vet without even being asked.

Yummy!

Me and Mum have such a tight bond that I can communicate with her. In this video I'm telling Mum how much I like my new treats, see if you can pick it.

Being blind doesn't stop me from enjoying the finer things in life - like destuffing toys and generally causing destruction and mayhem!

So, it seems my career path is not taking me to television. I will now dust myself off from being brutally dropped from the television show I was meant to appear in yesterday. Back to basics. I need to focus on what was my first attempt at becomming known to the world, and that is my book - The Magic of Myron.

I have sent my manuscript to 'Random House Australia' where an insider has said she will put it in the right hands. I hope to sart a campaign to prove to Random House that there is interest out there in my book.

Our local newspapers will be pushing it in the new year. They have already mentioned it in past articles about my life and are interested in doing a follow up. If you would like to help me in my endevours to cover my medical costs by way of having my book published you could express your interest in my book being published to -

An elderly lady in my area had been following my story in the local newspapers. She hadnt read about me lately and was concerned so looked up our number. Mum invited her around so she could see I was well and happy. We had a lovely afternoon together and I have made a new friend. She is looking forward to seeing me on the Television tomorrow on 'World Dog Games' on Channel 7 at 4:30.

Medication

My medicine is costing my mum and dad $300 a month! I take medicine to keep my seizures under control and medicine for my allergies. That is $3,600 a year! My family has been working hard to raise the money to care for me. We put a chipin box up there near the top of the blog. You can make a secure donation through paypal to help my Mum and Dad keep me healthy. The Chipin box will be up all year! It says it ends Nov. 15, but that is Nov. 15 of next year. We are trying to raise enough money for a years worth of medicine. If you would rather make a payment directly to the vet where I buy my medicine, let me know! Thanks!
